‘Ghost Radio’ is a recurring nightmare I have about the River Mersey near my house: sea-mist, ships’ horns, feral voices coming from the derelict house on the edge of the woods. It comes to me like a radio broadcast, just before daybreak, the singing of mournful hymns in winter. I go out looking for the singers, but all I find is the atmosphere of ghosts…
