Calabrian Rhapsody by Chiara Ambrosio (Colossive Cartographies 35)

”Calabrian Rhapsody” is a dream, the charting of an impossible journey, a carnival, a seance. An evocation of my motherland in the South of Italy, it is the garden where childhood games and ritual converge. An attempt at re-membering, a celebration of the many stories we carry within.

Chiara Ambrosio is a visual artist working with film, photography, radio broadcast and printed matter.

A4, full colour, folded to A6. Also available as part of a six-issue subscription (Series Six).

Colossive Cartographies is an attempt to create a print equivalent of a series of seven-inch singles. Using a simple pop-out format based on the Turkish map fold, we’re collaborating with creators including cartoonists, fine artists, poets, writers and photographers to bring an unpredictable range of visual practice into a hand-folded treat.
